Old Tree Wildlife Park provides placements for adults and children with multiple and complex needs. The farm provides a safe and pleasant environment, offering animal husbandry and horticulture. Our animals, goats, alpacas, pigs, ducks, geese, rabbits etc. Provide a way of connecting and empathising with those who are vulnerable adults. We appreciate how difficult it is for individuals of this nature, and will calm there anxieties, boost their confidence, and show them how to relax
The park is in the heart of the community, providing fun, education and volunteering opportunities for all ages. We encourage engagement with nature at every level and promote enhanced levels of mental and physical well-being through exercise, horticulture, outdoor activity, nature trails, scavenger hunts, regular events and more. We aim to become the Wolverhampton centre of excellence in wildlife care alongside managing, sustaining and developing our public access urban farm.
We aim to provide support for those enduring depressive illnesses, anxiety isolation and recovery from trauma and in future aim to provide facilitated guided re-engagement with qualified and experienced practitioners.
